Mauricio Perez will take over at centre-half for Mauricio Mauricio, after Osvaldi had a season-long absence from the side due to injury.
Pochettio named Osvaldes in the starting XI against Norwich last week, and he has been a revelation in the role, providing a constant presence in the defensive third.
He has been instrumental in Norwich’s success this season, with Osvalde scoring five goals in 10 appearances.
Osvalfo scored four goals in six appearances in the last two Premier League matches against Manchester City and Chelsea, and his impressive form has been recognised by the Portuguese national team manager.
The former Bayer Leverkusen defender has been the subject of several rumours, including a loan move to a club in Europe, but Osvado has so far been able to remain quiet about the rumours.
He was only able to comment on Twitter after the game, saying: “Nothing to announce.
It’s only the Premier League season and I can only focus on what I can do for the team.”
The Argentinean also hinted at a future move to Chelsea, saying, “It would be nice to play at Stamford Bridge, but I’m not there yet.
It is still too early for me to make a decision.
But we’ll see.”
Ospaldo is likely to be available to Spurs in the new year, and Pochetto is confident of signing him.
“He’s not here yet,” Pochettina said, when asked if Osviedo was the player he wanted to be playing at the club.
We’ll see what happens.
He’s an excellent player.
We are all positive about him.”
