The NBA announced Thursday that it has fined seven players for allegedly participating in a shooting that left a man dead at the Orlando shooting range.
The players involved are guard Jarell Martin, forward De’Aaron Fox, guard Brandon Ingram, forward Jahlil Okafor, guard Jordan Clarkson, guard D’Angelo Russell and forward Deandre Ayton.
The shooting was reported on the Facebook page of the Sun Sentinel.
The Sun Sentinel said that the shooting occurred during a practice for the Suns and that the incident occurred at the Suncoast Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
The NBA said the players violated team rules by “shooting without a license” and by “refusing to obey team orders to cease firing.”
The league issued a warning and a fine.
The league also said that “an additional fine of $50,000 will be assessed for any player who violates these rules while on the court.”
The Sun’s article says the shooting happened during a pre-draft workout at the Suns’ practice facility.
The newspaper said that a spokesman for the team said the shooting took place during a “practice session” and said that no players were injured.
