Chelsea midfielder Diego Costa said he was ready for the Gunners attack after Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez was ruled out for up to four weeks with a knee injury.
The former Atletico Madrid player was forced to leave Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Everton on Saturday because of the knee injury sustained in training on Sunday.
“I feel I am ready to play.
The only problem is the knee,” Costa told TalkSport.
“I’m feeling better than ever.”
It’s about Arsenal.””
It’s not about me.
It’s about Arsenal.”
It was Arsenal’s second defeat in five matches and Costa’s first since he left Atletico last summer.
The Spain international, who has scored 14 goals in 38 appearances this season, is yet to score for Chelsea.
He has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal’s Paris Saint Germain teammate Olivier Giroud, Manchester United and Chelsea’s former boss Antonio Conte have all been linked to his signature.
Costa has scored four goals in 12 appearances this term.
