NEW YORK (AP) 10 things you need to know before the shooting spree that has left more than 50 dead and dozens more wounded in Miami has a new twist: A man named Ryan Murphy, who worked as a bouncer at Miami’s Wynwood Club, is in jail on federal charges of aiding the shooter.
Murphy has pleaded not guilty to a charge of assisting in the murder of a bouncers colleague, Michael Kors, and to other charges in a Miami federal court.
He also faces federal charges in the shooting of an Uber driver who was killed in the same attack, a charge he denies.
A Miami judge ordered Murphy to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and report to the U.S. Marshals Service in July.
Murphy has not been charged.
He is expected to appear in federal court Thursday.
