The Virginia Beach News-Press reports that a man with the initials J.M. has been identified as a “person of interest” in the case.
The paper adds that authorities are searching for a woman in her late 20s who has been seen with J.S. at the house where the shooting took place.
A woman who identified herself as the mother of the woman who was shot told the newspaper that her daughter told her she and J.R. were estranged and that they had separated.
The News-Post reports that authorities have found a .38 caliber revolver in the house, but there is no evidence of any physical altercation between the couple.
It was not immediately clear if the woman knew J.J., but the News-Papers said the woman told investigators she had recently gotten involved with J, a former boyfriend, and was told he had recently returned to Virginia Beach from the Philippines.
Authorities have not yet confirmed if the couple is related, though the NewsPapers says they are.
J.A. has also been identified in the investigation as an associate of J.K., according to the paper.
Police have not said whether J.O. is linked to the shooting.
The woman who said she and her daughter were estranged was able to identify J.N., who she said is the son of the man who shot her daughter.
J., who is the man seen with the pregnant woman in the photo, is described as 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds.
He was wearing a red hoodie with white stripes and a black backpack, police said.
Police are searching the apartment of a woman who has described herself as a friend of the mother, who is in her early 30s, who has called police after seeing the two on the phone and having a conversation.
The mother told the NewsPost that she was able see the two women on the video and that J.H. is the only one she has seen in her apartment.
The newspaper says the woman has not been able to determine the woman’s identity.
